Introduction to Montessori covers the fundamental principles of Montessori education: the Montessori theory of human development, central role of observation, and Montessori educational practices in the Early Childhood classroom.

Introduction to Montessori is a core course requirement for AMS Infant/Toddler and Elementary 6-9 certification, for those who do not already have Early Childhood certification. It is an excellent course for Assistants working in a 3-6 classroom or for anyone interested in finding out more about the Montessori approach to education.

If you have assistants or substitutes already working in the classroom, this 3-day program will be a great help in their work now.

The class will be held in a beautiful model Early Childhood Montessori classroom at the Montessori Children’s Center, giving participants the chance to interact with a range of Montessori materials and experience first-hand the benefits of a well-designed Montessori environment. The classes will be held in the classroom.
