Mary Zajac
Saturday, May 2008 (Date TBA) - 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
$150.00

Science in a Montessori early childhood classroom is the study of life itself! We start by fostering the child's curiosity and understanding of himself. From there we offer opportunities to explore other forms of life and to discover how each is a part of the great web of life: the beautiful yet delicate balance that is found in nature. It is this emphasis on the relationships and inter relatedness between all living things and the environment that leads the child to develop a respect for life and an attitude of stewardship of the planet; Montessori's ultimate goal. Participants will learn how to integrate the study of the Life and Physical Sciences throughout their curriculums with a wealth of hands-on activities and resources.
