School Sponsorship
Some schools sponsor Montessori teacher candidates in exchange for a commitment to teach during the internship year and a specified time as a teacher at their program. It is the responsibility of the Adult Learner to investigate this option with their sponsoring school.

EIP Scholarships from New York State
  • Infant and Toddler Montessori Training Course for AMS Credential
  • Early Childhood Montessori Training Course for AMS Credential

Scholarship funding to participate in these trainings may be available through the New York State Educational Incentive Program (IEP). For more information or to apply for a scholarship, please visit www.ecetp.pdp.albany.edu. You may also contact EIP by email at eip.albany.edu or by phone at (800) 295-9616.

EIP Scholarship awards are $2,000 per calendar year, per person and are based on documented eligibility and continued availability of funds. The CME|NY Early Childhood and Infant and Toddler Courses each qualify for two calendar years of scholarship funds with a separate application required for each calendar year. CME|NY cannot guarantee EIP funding scholarships to our trainees. EIP is a voluntary program. Some applicants to our program may not qualify for an EIP scholarship and some applicants to our program may not receive a scholarship even if all qualifications are met. EIP Awards are non-transferable and must only be used for the course for which they were issued. Candidates (or their responsible schools) must pay tuition in full to CME|NY. Upon receipt of EIP payment from the state (at least 10 weeks following the date awarded), CME|NY will reimburse the candidate for the pre-paid scholarship funds. A certificate of completion with trainee's ASPIRE ID number, total hours completed, training start and end dates, NYOCFS regulatory topic areas covered, and our faculty trainer's ASPIRE ID number and signature will be provided.

Eligible candidates must be:
  • A U.S Citizen
  • Have worked in childcare for 6 months
  • Be a paid employee of the school/child care center
  • Have a job title that is counted in meeting New York State child/teacher ratio requirements

For more information or to apply for a scholarship, please visit www.ecetp.pdp.albany.edu. You may also contact EIP by mail at eip.albany.edu or by phone at (800) 295-9616.
