Course for Montessori School Management (CMSM)
Course for Montessori School Management (CMSM)
For administrators, directors, principals, heads of school and Montessori advocates
Leadership Matters
Adults play a critical role in creating the child-centered Montessori environment. In addition to the teachers who prepare the classrooms for children to flourish, administrators must be able to incorporate the Montessori principles in managing their school in order for the organization to achieve its full potential.
The Course for Montessori School Management (CMSM) is a comprehensive program designed to assist current heads of school and future school leaders in managing successful and exemplary Montessori schools.

This requirement may be met by attending other courses offered by CME|NY or at other sites approved by the CMSM coordinators.
Practicum phase (Part IV)
During this phase, CMSM students work a minimum of nine months for six hours a day during the school year at an approved site. The program faculty visit the school for three consultations to observe and offer recommendations about specific challenges and areas for enhancement identified by the CMSM student.
