Introduction to Montessori/Early Childhood Overview covers the fundamental principles of Montessori education: the Montessori theory of human development, central role of observation, and Montessori educational practices in the Early Childhood classroom.
Introduction to Montessori is a core course requirement for AMS Infant and Toddler certification for those who do not have Early Childhood certification. It is an excellent course for Assistants, Substitues, or Aides working in a 3-6 classroom or for anyone interested in finding out more about the Montessori approach to education.
If you have assistants or substitutes already working in the classroom, this three-day program will be a great help in their work now.
Applicants to the 2014 Infant and Toddler cohort should enroll in this program, if they do not have an EC Montessori Credential.
The first two classes will be held in a beautiful Early Childhood Montessori classroom at the Montessori Children’s Center, giving participants the chance to interact with a range of Montessori materials and experience first-hand the benefits of a well-designed Montessori environment. The third class will be held at the CME|NY summer institute in New Rochelle, and will begin with a program with VIRGINIA VARGA.
For further information and to register, please apply on line and complete the first two pages of the application.
Space is limited. Please register today! Registration must be completed by January 23, 2014.
A Certificate of Attendance will be provided upon completion.
