General Information

Registration Fee:
The $250.00 registration fee, which is non-refundable, must be included with your application.

Payment Schedule & Deferred Payment:
All fees and tuition must be paid in full before the program begins unless arrangements for a deferred payment plan have been made with the Administrator. A 10% carrying fee is added to tuition paid on the deferred payment plan. Please contact the CMTE/NY office to request a deferred payment plan.

Late and Returned Check Fees:
A 10% fee is added to payments received one month past due. CMTE/NY charges a $25.00 returned check fee.

School Discount:
Schools will receive an 8% discount on tuition when sending three or more students for full training during the same academic year at the same location. Note: the school discount will apply to students attending Introduction to Montessori if there are three or more students taking Introduction to Montessori from the same school.

Tuition Refund Policy:
If a student withdraws from the program one month prior to the program starting date, 100% paid tuition (less processing fee on credit card transactions) will be refunded. After that date, tuition will be refunded less a deduction of:

10% if before the course begins
20% if within 25 academic hours
40% if within 50 academic hours
60% if within 75 academic hours
80% if within 100 academic hours

After 100 academic hours, no refunds will be made except in the case of extreme physical health problems. Refunds are computed from the date of official withdrawl, not from the time when the student ceases attending classes. The student is required to withdraw officially by writing a letter of intent to the Executive Director and Level Coordinator.

Tuition Refund Policy - NJ Program:
The minimum number of students necessary to conduct a class is 10. If the class drops below 10, we cannot guarantee that the class will be held in New Jersey. If the student withdraws before the first week of classes, all fees with the exception of a $25 registration fee, will be refunded. After classes begin, tuition (minus the $25 registration fee) will be refunded less a deduction of:

20% if within the first session
40% if within the second session
60% if within the third session
80% if within the fourth session

After the fourth session, no refunds will be made except in the case of extreme physical health problems. The student is required to withdraw officially by writing a letter of intent to the Executive Director and NJ Coordinator.
