School Sponsorship
Some schools sponsor Montessori teacher candidates in exchange for a commitment to teach during the internship year and a specified time as a head teacher. It is the responsibility of the student to initiate a sponsorship program.
Scholarships
American Montessori Society (AMS) Teacher Education scholarship application deadline is May 1. Scholarships are available from the AMS scholarship fund. They are based on need and do not cover the full tuition. Please visit the AMS website at www.amshq.org/teacherEdScholarships.htm
for a scholarship application.
Note: you will need to apply to CMTE/NY as a student and apply to AMS for a scholarship. These are two separate application processes.
Montessori Schools of Massachusetts' (MSM) Teacher Education Scholarship. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you need to be enrolled in a training program. Please visit the MSM website at www.excell.net/msm for a scholarship application. Deadline is March 15th.
Note: you will need to apply to CMTE/NY as a student and apply to MSM for a scholarship. These are two separate application processes.
School Discount
Schools will receive an 8% discount on tuition when sending three or more students for full training during the same academic year at the same location. Note: the school discount will apply to students attending Introduction to Montessori if there are three or more students taking Introduction to Montessori from the same school.
