The course is a basic overview of the Montessori approach to children
and what it is to be an adult in the Montessori environment:

How we speak to children.

How we interact with children and adults.

The ground rules for the Montessori environment.

How Montessori differs from traditional education.

How we can be of greater support to our children.

How we encourage a child's independence and success.

This workshop will increase your skills and confidence as a professional assistant in the early childhood Montessori classroom. By the end of the workshop, participants will
  1. Have a deeper understanding of their role in the Montessori classroom
  2. Be able to fully engage with children in their environment
  3. Support meaningful growth and social development in children of this age group
  4. Have clear knowlege of how the boundaries and ground rules of the Montessori classroom help support independence, safety, and community.
