Infant and Toddler Field Consultant Supervisor

Judy Joynt has been involved with Montessori education since 1979, having taught for 14 years before joining CMTE/NY. Teaching positions included Hudson Country School, New Rochelle, NY and Berjan School, Mamaroneck, NY.  Judy received her Infant and Toddler AMS credential in 1991 from CMTE/NY and has been a member of the staff since 1997.  She is presently the Infant and Toddler Practicum Phase Coordinator and Field Consultant as well as an instructor in the program.  Judy has a B.A. in Elementary Education (University of Arizona), and M.Ed. (College of New Rochelle) in Special Education.

Early Childhood Coordinator

Pat Coffey has been in Montessori Education since 1985.  She has taught in the early childhood program, served as Program Director, Curriculum Coordinator and upper elementary language arts teacher at the Montessori School of Anderson in South Carolina.  She has been part of the faculty at CMTE/NY since 2002  working as a field consultant and in student services.  Pat holds a B.S. in Human Resources and Services (Anderson University); M.Ed.,Curriculum Instruction and Assessment (Walden University) and an Early Childhood credential (CMTE/NY).

Elementary Coordinator

Robyn Breiman has been a CMTE/NY faculty member since 1986. Since 2001, she has devoted herself to CMTE/NY full time, working with the outstanding elementary faculty to expand and improve on our programs. She is especially proud to have piloted the development of an Elementary II (9-12) certification course, the first one in the world! Robyn has been a Montessori head teacher at the early childhood, lower and upper elementary levels. She was head of The New School in Cincinnati, Ohio, for fifteen years. She has been a school consultant, lecturer and workshop presenter and has participated in training program accreditation work through AMS and as a MACTE on-site visitor. Robyn earned a B.A. in English (SUNY Binghamton) and M.Ed. (Xavier University). She has AMS certification for Early Childhood and Elementary I and Elementary II. In 2012, she was elected to the Board of Directors of AMS.

Elementary Curriculum Coordinator

Biff Maier is Director of Faculty and Curriculum Development at Lexington Montessori School, Lexington, MA, where he also teaches upper elementary students. Involved with Montessori since 1974, Biff is an AMS seminar presenter and consultant, and was formerly chair of the Teachers’ Section and a member of the AMS National Board of Directors.  He has a B.A. in psychology (Duke University) and an M.A. in education, AMS Early Childhood and Elementary 6-9 credentials (Xavier University), and an AMI 6-12 credential (Bergamo, Italy). Biff is the proud      parent of two Montessori graduates.

Coordinator

Marie M. Dugan was the Interim Executive Director of the American Montessori Society in 2004. Former
AMS President and Board Member for 13 years, Marie was Head of the Wilmington (DE) Montessori School for 25 years. She served on Middle States Accreditation Commission Board, former AMS Accreditation Commission member and Chair of the AMS School Heads Section. She currently chairs the AMS Centennial Campaign Committee, the  Archives Committee and the Keynote Committee for the 2007 Centennial Conference.  She is a co-representative to the United Nations and an Educational Consultant for AMS and CMTE/NY. Marie was honored as the 2009 AMS Living Legacy.

Early Childhood Coordinator-New Jersey

Lisanne Pinciotti has been involved with Montessori education since 1985.  Her experience in the Early Childhood classroom and Financial Administrator at Children's House Montessori School in NJ provided a strong foundation for future endeavors.  Lisanne earned a BS in Business Administration (University of Dayton), an M. Ed in Early Childhood Education (Rutgers University), an AMS Early Childhood Credential (CMTE/NY) and an AMS Administrator Credential (CMTE/NY).  Lisanne joined the staff at CMTE/NY in 1992 and has presented Language, Philosophy, Child Development, Geography, Administration, and Art over the years.  She is currently the Academic and Practicum Coordinator of the Early Childhood Satellite located at Christopher Academy in Westfield, NJ.  She enjoys Field Consultant visits and has presented at numerous NJMAC, AMS, and NJAEYC workshops.  Lisanne believes that supporting the efforts of professional associations is an important way to contribute to growth of the field, therefore has served as VP and President of NJMAC, on the Policy Committee of the Teacher Education Council for AMS, as IAME Early Childhood representative and MACTE Accreditation Coordinator for CMTE/NY.
