Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I get an application?
Go to our website to download an application form.

What is the application deadline?
May 15th.

What happens if I apply after May15th?
A late fee of $300 is added to your registration fee after May 15th.

Is there a registration fee?
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $295 (or $395 for foreign students).

When are tuition and fees due?
All tuition and fees are due by June 1st.   

Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, CME|NY accepts most major credit cards.  Call the office at (914) 363-8663 to charge your tuition and fees.

Where is the Infant and Toddler Year-Round program held?

The Infant and Toddler Program is held at the CME|NY Adult Training Facility, 1 Radisson Plaza, Suite 902, New Rochelle, NY 10801.  It begins with a  6-day summer kick-off, continues with classes held on weekends from August to May (there are no classes in September 2016 or in February 2017) and ends with a 5-day summer wrap-up in 2017.

Where is the Early Childhood summer program held?

The CME|NY summer institute for the Early Childhood course is located on the beautiful campus of the College of New Rochelle (CNR), located in the heart of Westchester County, in New Rochelle, New York.  The College is a short train ride from New York City, and is an easy commute from New Jersey and Connecticut by train or car.

Where is the Administrator program held?

The Administrator program is held at the CME|NY Adult Training Facility, 1 Radisson Plaza, Suite 902, New Rochelle, NY 10801. Part 1and Part 2 is offered in 2016. Part 3 is offered in 2017. parts 1,2,3 may be taken as Professional Development.  Part 4 is necessary for the credential, and includes additional course hours in residence, 2017.

What are the nearest airports?  JFK, LaGuardia, Westchester County Airport.

What is the cost for room and board?

What should I wear?

Dress is casual for all classes. We are within walking distance of the Long Island Sound, and have walking, running and bicycle route maps for students who are interested in those activities. You may want to bring a sweater—classrooms are air-conditioned.   

I don’t have an internship site, what should I do?

You’ll need an internship site to complete your training. If you don’t have an internship, call AMS to ask for information about schools looking for interns. We also suggest you make inquires with the Montessori schools in your area.

Can I bring my parrot?
Sorry, no pets are allowed.
